Mission Statement
 
Our mission is to serve the public by providing child support services as authorized by law. 

We will establish, modify and enforce Orders for Support and provide support collection services for children and families in an effective and efficient manner making prudent use of public resources.

We will perform our duties with honor and professionalism and treat our clients and colleagues with dignity and respect.
 

The Domestic Relations Section is the agency in Fayette County responsible for all matters involving the financial and medical support of children and/or spouses.

The Domestic Relations Section is a branch of the Fayette County Court of Common Pleas under the direction of the Honorable President Judge Gerald R. Solomon.

This Office does not handle issues involving custody or visitiation.

 

Services Provided:
 
1.  Location of Absent Parent
2.  Establishment of Paternity
3.  Establishment of Support Orders including Medical Support
4.  Enforcement of Support Orders
 
A $23.50 filing fee is charged at the time a Complaint for Support is filed. 
 
A $10.00 filing fee is charged at the time a Petition to Modify the Order is filed. 
 
A $35.00 filing fee is charged at the time a De Novo Hearing before the Court is filed.
