Mission Statement
 
     The mission of the Fayette County Building and Grounds Department is to ensure a safe and clean environment for the employees to work and the citizens to utilize.   
 
     The Building & Grounds Department is directly responsible for providing cleaning and maintenance services to the Courthouse, Public Service Building and Federal Building. 
 
     The Building & Grounds Department is indirectly responsible for providing cleaning and maintenance services to the Children & Youth Service building, the Mental Health Mental Retardation building and the new FACT Transit Center.
 
     In addition to the above named buildings, the Building & Grounds Department is responsible for the care and maintenance of the three County-owned parks (Dunlap Creek Park, Jacobs Creek Park, German-Masontown Park) either directly, through contract services or with the assistance of the county park boards.
 
     Finally, the Building & Grounds Department is responsible for the care and maintenance of the County Cemetery in conjunction with the volunteers and Coroner's Office.
