As your County Commissioner, I am responsible for operating our County and providing services effectively and within a cost-efficient budget. 

 

The actions I take; the decisions I make and the votes I cast are done while keeping my integrity and knowing that I am accountable to you. 

                                 

When I sought this office, I focused on a "new approach for Fayette County", an approach of fiscal responsibility; promoting economic development by allowing capitalism and free enterprise to create jobs; promoting our County's assets of tourism and agriculture; supporting new and existing small businesses and tracking our tax dollars given to the economic development agencies charged with promoting our County and working with them to be results-oriented.      

 

I've always said that County Commissioners and government cannot create jobs but we can and must create the required conditions and positive atmosphere necessary to attract new businesses and allow existing businesses to remain and prosper in Fayette County.  Our tax dollars, when used wisely, can bring Fayette County to that end while the private market creates the jobs and maintains our economy.
