· Keep the books of the county
· Scrutinize all fiscal transactions to ensure compliance with statute (1702)
· Audit books of county officers
· Maintain custody of valuable documents
· Serve on following boards/commissions:
· Prison
· Retirement (statutory secretary)
· Salary
· Sinking Fund Commission
